Entrepreneur Program - Summer 2014

The Entrepreneur Program Summer 2014 has been designed to provide University of the Arts and Drexel University’s Westphal and Close students and alumni an opportunity to invent careers that are not dependent on the traditional rules established for creative artists, as well as to provide them an opportunity to test ideas they have developed while in school.

Eligibility

Participation is competitive and open to six graduating seniors selected from Westphal and Close and six seniors, graduate students, or alumni selected from UArts.

Creative Incubator Grant

The Corzo Center Creative Incubator Grant / Wells Fargo Fellowship Program helps UArts students and alumni develop new ideas, launch creative businesses, and establish social enterprises.

Lectures & Workshops

Fall 2014 Workshops

Workshops are free and open to the public. Registration required. 

All workshops are from 7 - 9 pm in Terra Hall, 211 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.

Boot Camps

An interactive, two week course providing a chance to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur - how to plan, develop, budget, market, and present your business idea.

  • November 5th at 6-9pm
  • November 6th at 6-9pm
  • November 11th at 6-9pm
  • November 12th at 6-9pm
  • November 13th at 6-9pm

Location: The University of the Arts, Terra Hall Rm 905.

Free for UArts students and alumni; limited seating available.

RSVP by sending your name, contact information, major, and year of graduation (or anticipated) to corzocenter@uarts.edu.

Highly recommended for those interested in applying for the Incubator Grant program. RSVP is for all six dates. Coursework is cumulative, participants must plan on attending all classes.

Open Office Hours

Free, one-on-one entrepreneurship consulting for creatives.  By appointment only and open to the public; discuss ideas, strategies, and tactics with local professionals.
